Ma-Te-Way Park Winter Family Session: The Scott’s

As the days start to feel more like spring here, it might seem a little odd to be posting about winter photos. But, believe it or not, we had just received a fresh blanket of snow before Christmas, which makes this post feel very fitting! I’ve been looking forward to sharing this session for a while, and now that the snow has melted and we’re experiencing warmer temperatures, it feels like the perfect time.

This family session has been in the works for several months. Lauren and I first started chatting about capturing some family photos back in the fall. We had both been looking forward to it, and when the snow finally arrived just before Christmas, we knew it would provide the perfect winter backdrop. So, we set out early one chilly morning to meet at Ma-te-way Park, a local spot that never disappoints with its scenic beauty. The park was the perfect winter wonderland, with snow-covered trees and a soft, serene atmosphere that made for an ideal setting to capture the Scott family’s love and connection.

There’s something magical about winter photos—there’s just a stillness in the air, and the crisp, fresh snow creates such a peaceful, dreamy vibe. I’m completely in love with how these turned out! The Scott family radiates warmth, even in the chilly weather, and you can feel the closeness and joy between them in every shot.
