Meaningful Photography with a Documentary yet Editorial Aesthetic

The Beauty in the Everyday

How would you describe your photography style?

Natural lifestyle storytelling. I love helping to make memories you can keep and hang on your walls. Documenting you as you are in the moment, is what inspires me and drives my passion for photography. I love that I get to freeze time and showcase who you are and what people love about you. It’s all about the beauty of life and your story. Let’s tell it together.

Do you have a studio?

No, I don’t work in a studio. Instead, I come to you! I join you in your home or we meet in the great outdoors.

Let’s be serious, having your photo taken isn’t easy. It’s awkward. And that’s normal! I find being in your home helps ease those feelings. You’re more comfortable and relaxed. And I’m able to help showcase the real you through my photos. The you who is cozy in bed with your family. The you who is cuddling on your couch with your partner or building puzzles and towers with your toddler.

Plus, coming to your home for your photos makes them that much more meaningful. As the years go by, you update your home, redecorate your home, move to a new home… but you’ll have these images and memories of this home as it was in this moment of time. I love that it adds that extra layer to your images.

What should I wear?

You can’t go wrong with neutral colours. I personally think the most important thing is to feel comfortable and confident in whatever you wear. If you feel comfortable, you’ll look comfortable. We want to document your beautiful, authentic self.

If we’re doing a family session and you’re wondering how to dress your family, focus on coordinating colours. Stick to solids, instead of patterned clothes, which can look too busy. And pick two or three colour options that go well together. Everyone can then pick something from those colours and you’ll have a lovely cohesive look.

And it’s also really good to focus on your own personal style. As I said, we want to show who YOU are in photos. So dress in what you love, in what makes you smile, and you will shine.

What is your turnaround time?

I know - waiting is the hardest part! I try to get your images back to you as soon as I can. I’ll send you a sneak peek within a week of your session to show you a little taste of what we created together and your full gallery as soon as I’m able.

For maternity, newborn, family and engagement sessions, turnaround time is typically around 2 to 3 weeks.

"What can I say other than this girl is completely amazing! She not only went above and beyond for my family. But I was sick for our first session with heart monitor and a lot going on. She took the time to be patient and caring enough to take some amazing shots of my family. Her work is beautiful, and I couldn’t even tell I was wearing a heart monitor!!

Not only that. The session had to end early unfortunately with me not feeling great and baby being fussy. So she let us keep our unused time, and capture photos in the fall once we were all feeling better. She took the time out of her life For us to make it work. And I’ll always cherish that.

I can’t appreciate everything she did for my family. And her work enough!! If you’re looking for a great photographer, look no further.

Stop debating it and give her a call."
