A Temple’s Country Wedding: Jomi & Emily

I met Jomi and Emily the year prior through our consultation meeting, and I knew we connected right from the start. This was peak pandemic and everything was handled over zoom! Jomi and Emily live on the East Coast but were from the Ottawa area, which is why they wanted to have their wedding in the Ottawa area as most of their family is located here! We discussed the upcoming wedding and all the details, and knew we were all a great fit for eachother.

Jomi and Emily had the wedding and Temples, located just outside Ottawa in Lanark. The venue is very rustic and the fact that they also have their own maple syrup and it makes an appearance in most of the meals they serve. Jomi and Emily had their wedding deep in the forest, which made the ceremony extra romantic! The ceremony was short and sweet but was the so beautiful! We quickly went right into family and wedding party photo’s then toured the grounds to do Jomi and Emily’s photo’s, and as this was happening the sun was going down so we took advantage of golden hour and blue hour!

Some people do not realize that golden and blue hour can make for the most romantic photo’s as the sky has hue’s between orange and pink and blue and purple! If your not afraid of getting creative, you can also take advantage of whats called “twilight hour” which just means the sky has went darn and the stars are now out, and you can get creative with some flash photography! Jomi and Emily wanted to get a mix of all lighting situations an we made sure to have some fun with it!

Thank you so so much Jomi and Emily, for having me be apart of your beautiful intimate wedding at Temples. I hope you both have a beautiful life together and next time you are in Ottawa, we should get together for another session!

If you or someone you know is planning a wedding in the Ottawa or Ottawa Valley, please have them.. or you, reach out! I would love to chat more regarding what you are planning and to see if we would be a good fit!
