Sidedoor Contemporary Kitchen Wedding: Brayden & Lauren
As an Ottawa wedding photographer, I have documented weddings at many breathtaking venues, but when Lauren told me they were planning to say "I do” at Sidedoor Contemporary Kitchen, I knew this was going to be a celebration to remember! From the moment I arrived until the newlyweds raced off into their happily ever after, Sidedoor was gorgeous, intimate and the food was… TO DIE FOR!
As the bride had her hair and makeup done surrounded by her bridesmaids, I couldn't help but marvel at how bright the getting ready space was! With its open concept and large windows, it was perfect for taking photos! The groom's prep room was equally as amazing! I always advise couples toke sure they choose a getting ready space that offers lots of natural light and space to spread out! The bride’s location was reStays, and it absolutely delivered!
When I arrived for the ceremony, my jaw dropped! Not only did it perfectly suit the dream wedding day Brayden and Lauren had described to me from day one, but it also surprised me with intimate outdoor space to have the ceremony away from the hustle and bustle or downtown Ottawa. There was definitely no shortage of incredible spots for portraits, that's for sure!
From the photos we took in outside the venue in the Byward Market to the ones in Major Hills Park, Brayden and Lauren are going to have a crazy hard time choosing which ones to print and hang in their home!
Then, off to the reception we headed! When the guests saw the decor and set up for the reception, they could not stop talking about how beautiful it was. Once the party kicked into high gear and the guests hit the dance floor, the reception space felt energetic!
Brayden and Lauren’s wedding celebration was downright amazing. Congratulations, you two on your marriage, and I am super thankful for choosing me to document such a special day!
