Chapman Mills Conservation Engagement Session: Charles & Kat

Charles and Katerina reached out to me earlier i the year about booking with me for their wedding at Strathmere next summer. I was more than excited to work with them and I do love photographing weddings at Strathmere! One of the things that Charles and Katerina mentioned was having their engagement session during the Autumn, so that they could use the images for their save the dates. I always have a “go-to” list of locations I like to photograph at, but Katerina mentioned doing their session at the Chapman Mills Conservation in Nepean, in Ottawa Ontario.

I always check out the locations online before heading to the session, and I was absolutely in love with the location! We discussed doing a morning session as the timing worked out better for everyone, and its honestly a huge change to doing the session in the evening! The sun may be a bit stronger but there is a lovely warmth and golden tone to the images that you would not capture at any other time.

Charles and Katerina were fantastic during their engagement session, and I honestly did not need to direct them as they were just fantastic in front of the camera… makes my job nice and easy when couples just have fun and not stress too much while having their photo’s taken.
