October weddings in the Ottawa area usually bring crisp air and vibrant fall colours but Nick and Rosie’s wedding day was a beautiful exception. Their wedding at Evermore (located just outside Ottawa), felt more like a warm late-summer afternoon than the middle of autumn. Golden sunshine poured over the countryside venue, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed and joyful wedding day.
Nick and Rosie’s story began eight years before in the most fittingly Canadian way: working together on a summer job at a tree farm. What started as coworkers spending long days outdoors soon turned into something more when they realized they had even more in common than they expected. Not only were they both attending the same university (University of Guelph),but they also discovered they would live on the same street while at school. Sometimes the smallest coincidences end up becoming the most meaningful connections.
Their wedding day reflected the natural ease and warmth of their relationship. Evermore’s countryside setting provided a stunning backdrop with rolling fields, rustic architecture and soft autumn light surrounding every moment of the celebration. Guests gathered to witness Nick and Rosie exchange vows under the warm October sun, a rare treat for fall weddings in Eastern Ontario.
Rosie looked radiant as she walked down the aisle and Nick’s reaction when he saw her was one of those genuine, emotional moments that makes documenting weddings so special. The ceremony felt intimate and heartfelt, filled with laughter, meaningful glances and the kind of quiet joy that comes from two people who have grown together over many years.
As the evening unfolded, guests moved into Evermore’s beautiful reception space where the celebration truly came alive. The warm weather meant people could linger outside, enjoying the countryside views and spending time together before heading in to dance the night away. The relaxed pace of the day allowed Nick and Rosie to soak in every moment with their friends and family.
What stood out most throughout their wedding was how naturally everything flowed. From their tree farm beginnings to discovering they shared a university life at Guelph, Nick and Rosie’s story has always seemed guided by a little bit of fate and a lot of genuine connection.
Their wedding day felt exactly the same way: effortless, joyful and full of warmth. It was the kind of October celebration that reminds you that sometimes fall weddings don’t need cool air and sweaters to feel magical, sometimes all you need is sunshine, a beautiful countryside venue and two people who have been building their story together for years.
Evermore is one of my top favourite weddings venues in the Ottawa area, and any chance I can make it back there to document a beautiful wedding I will absolutely take it.
