Intimate Summer Wedding at Penryn Park: Thomas & Kaitlynn
I actually love shooting weddings on Canada Day, just something but the warm weather, the excitement in the air and the fireworks at the site of dusk. Thomas and Kaitlynn first chatted with me almost 2 years before their wedding and were super excited to start planning things out for their big day. Thomas and Kaitlynn both live just outside Toronto, but I was more than happy to travel to their wedding venue! I first got to hang out with Thomas and Kaitlynn in February as they drove up from Oshawa to have their engagement session done up in the Ottawa area! We decided on Pinhey’s Point in Dunrobin.
Fast forward to their wedding day, we travelled to Port Hope Ontario, and arrived at the most stunning and historic venue - which also happens to be a golf and country club as well. Kaitlynn was upstairs in one of the rooms, while Thomas was getting ready downstairs in the living room. Thomas and Kaitlynn decided to do a first look right next to the most beautiful blue pool, which made for a great backdrop.
Thomas and Kaitlynn had their ceremony right under a large tree just outside the venue, which made it wayy more whimsical, there was a small amount of rain drops but it made everything very dreamy and romantic. After supper, the sun decided to come out and it made for the most amazing sunset. We had to take advantage of it! We also decided to do a faux grand exit around 10pm, with sparklers right before the actual fireworks were to be done across the lake!
