Parc des Rapides-Deschênes Engagement: Shane & Sarah

There’s something magical about the place where memories are made, and for Shane and Sarah, that place is Parc des Rapides-Deschênes, just outside Gatineau, Quebec. This beautiful park, with its lush greenery, winding paths, and tranquil riverside views, was the perfect setting for their summer engagement session.

Shane and Sarah have a special connection to the park—having once lived just down the street. As they strolled hand-in-hand through the familiar trails, it was clear that their bond was as deep as their history here. The park holds a sense of nostalgia for them, reminding them of the early days of their relationship, countless walks, and the shared moments that shaped their love story.

For their engagement session, we wanted to capture not only their love but also the essence of their journey together. The natural beauty of Parc des Rapides-Deschênes served as the perfect backdrop, with its lush landscapes and the flowing waters of the Ottawa River providing a serene, intimate atmosphere. One of the most beautiful things about Shane and Sarah’s session was how effortlessly they connected with each other. Next summer, Shane and Sarah will be tying the knot at The Grand Hotel in Carleton Place, Ontario—a stunning venue that will undoubtedly complement their love story. While they may no longer live near Parc des Rapides-Deschênes, it’s clear that this special park will always hold a place in their hearts, a symbol of where their journey together began.
