Family and Newborn Session: Baby Shephard

Welcoming a new baby into the world is always a special moment, and when that baby is as sweet as little Shephard, it’s a memory worth capturing. I recently had the joy of photographing this beautiful newborn session inside the family’s home, and I couldn’t be more excited to share the experience.

There’s something uniquely intimate about a newborn session in the comfort of the family’s home. The familiar surroundings add a layer of warmth and connection to the photos, making them feel even more personal. For Shephard’s session, his parents were able to relax and enjoy the experience, knowing they were in a space filled with love and memories.

Shephard was an absolute dream to photograph. At just a few days old, he slept peacefully through most of the session, allowing me to capture those sweet, tiny moments—his little hands, soft cheeks, and perfect little toes. It’s incredible how much a newborn can change in just a matter of days, and these photos will help preserve those fleeting moments.

We made sure to incorporate elements of the home into the session, from the cozy nursery to the family’s living room, which had a soft, natural light pouring through the windows. Each photo tells a part of Shephard’s early story: the quiet moments with his parents, the snuggles with his soft blanket, and the quiet, stillness of those early days.
