An Autumn Family Session with The Belaire’s

This fall, I had the privilege of capturing the beautiful moments of the Belaire family: Marcus, Stephanie, and their adorable daughter Everly. As many of you know, Stephanie is my sister, so this session was extra special for me. It felt like the perfect blend of family, nature, and nostalgia — something I was beyond excited to photograph.

We began our session right down the road from their home in Haley Station, Ontario. The countryside there is absolutely stunning in the fall. The golden, amber hues of the leaves and the crisp autumn air set the stage for the perfect family photos. Everly was full of energy, running around, and chasing after fallen leaves. Marcus and Stephanie couldn’t help but smile as they watched their little one’s infectious joy. These are the moments that I love to capture — those candid, in-between moments that really tell the story of a family’s connection.

After getting some beautiful shots around Haley Station, we made our way to a very special place: Stephanie’s mom’s family farm in Admaston, Ontario. This location holds a special significance for Stephanie, as it has been part of her family for generations. The rustic charm of the farm, with its sprawling fields, old barns, and winding trails, added an entirely new dimension to our session. The location not only allowed for stunning backdrops, but it also brought a sense of nostalgia and warmth that was reflected in the photos.

The late afternoon light at the farm was magical. With the soft glow of the sun filtering through the trees, it created the perfect atmosphere for capturing intimate family portraits. Marcus and Stephanie were so relaxed, enjoying the quiet beauty of the land, and Everly was in her element, running around and playing with the leaves. These moments felt incredibly genuine — like they were in their natural environment, completely at ease with one another.

Capturing the Belaires in such a personal, meaningful setting was truly an honor. The connection they share is palpable, and it was such a joy to document this season in their lives. From the rolling hills of Haley Station to the family farm in Admaston, their autumn session was filled with love, laughter, and a little bit of magic.
