Autumn Family Session at Ma-te-way Park: The Visneskie’s

This autumn, I had the privilege of capturing the Visneskie family at Mateway Park, and it was truly a special session. With the vibrant fall colors painting the trees in shades of amber, gold, and crimson, the park provided a stunning backdrop for this heartwarming family shoot.

One of the highlights of the session was the presence of little Maeve, whose smile could light up the entire park. Maeve had just completed her cancer treatment at CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) and was ringing a bell to mark the end of her treatment. This moment was nothing short of monumental—not just for Maeve, but for the entire family. As Maeve rang the bell, her parents, siblings, and I stood in awe, witnessing a powerful symbol of resilience and hope. The joy and relief in her eyes were palpable, and it was an honor to be there to capture this milestone in her journey.

The Visneskies are the definition of strength and love. You could see the bond they share in every shot—the way they laugh together, hold each other close, and support one another. We wandered through the park, playing in the leaves, enjoying the crisp autumn air, and soaking in the beauty of the season. It was a perfect day, filled with gratitude, joy, and, most of all, love.

As a photographer, there are moments that stay with you long after the session is over, and this one will be one I hold dear. Maeve’s bravery, her family’s unwavering support, and the magic of the autumn landscape all came together to create something truly unforgettable.

Here’s to the Visneskie family—a reminder of the power of hope, resilience, and the importance of family. Thank you for letting me be a part of this incredible moment in your lives.
